Lil Wayne is currently serving probation period which requires him to refrain from all illegal substances but he says he can’t wait until he completes his probation so that he can get back to syrup and weed. When asked about his current state required sobriety, here’s what he tells GQ:

“I’m good. I ain’t tripping. I’m used to it now. But I was never on heroin or cocaine or Ecstasy or nothing like that. I drank syrup and smoked a lot of weed. I wish I could be back on it. That’s how it fucking feels. ‘How does it feel to be sober?’ I’ll be like, ‘It feels fucked up.’ What do you want me to say? “It feels great”? No. I was on something that the doctor prescribed. I was ill, and that was helping me. I cannot wait until I get off probation, sweetheart.”

In related News, Drake is gearing up for the release of his sophomore album Take Care, releasing November 15th, but he's already let his Young Money boss Lil Wayne hear a few cuts.

Speaking with MTV News, Weezy said that while he hasn't listened to the whole album, he was impressed by what he heard. "I actually haven't got a chance to listen to all of it, but I heard a few songs," he said. "I can tell, you know, I don't know nothing else out there that can touch it, including my stuff. That kid is on another planet."

He also praised Drizzy's ability to rap as if he were having a conversation, be it on a hit song or an album cut. "To me, I call him a conversational artist, meaning he can make a rap or single or hit verse, hit song, out of a regular conversation that you would love to have with any woman or anybody. I think that is his expertise. The songs that I heard, he just capitalized on that like crazy."
