Macklemore and Ryan Lewis nab the cover of Billboard magazine.

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis released their long-awaited follow-up to The Heist, titled This Unruly Mess I've Made, last Friday. With the album in stores for almost a week now, Billboard magazine has unveiled their latest cover story featuring the Seattle-based duo.

The cover story focuses largely on the idea of white privilege and how Macklemore and Ryan Lewis benefited from it, as well as their conversation-starter of a record "White Privilege II." Macklemore tries to shed light on the perspective of a couple of lyrics in particular ("The culture was never yours to make better -- you’re Miley, you’re Elvis, you’re Iggy Azalea"),  saying, "I don’t think people understood that I’m in my own head [saying], ‘You’re Miley, you’re Elvis, you’re Iggy Azalea’ -- I’m talking about myself." He goes on to say that he didn't approach the Iggy Azalea situation correctly-- "Iggy and I came up together. We were on the XXL ‘Freshmen’ cover together. There’s enough of a relationship that I should have let her know beforehand. And I didn’t do that."
