Avoiding time behind bars, The Weeknd pleads no contest to his January arrest from Las Vegas.

Remember back in January when The Weeknd was arrested in Las Vegas for allegedly punching an officer in the head? Well like most of us, Abel was forced to go to court on Thursday to face a judge for his actions, but ended up pleading no contest for it anyways.

According to TMZ, The Weeknd will avoid time behind bars but only if he follows the judge’s orders, which includes paying a $1,000 to an injured cop fund, complete anger management, and an alcohol evaluation. He also will have to complete a total of 50 hours of community service, but the judge will allow him to do it at a non-profit group in his native country of Canada.

If all these requirements are met, the case will be dismissed, and the scorching hot R&B singer stays winning.
