Curren$y and Sledgren unveiled their short film, Revolver, earlier this week -- a narrative driven by new material from the artist and producer. While the 6 tracks were audible in the 25-minute production, they've now been shared as a proper project, though many of the sounds from the clip are still found on the mp3 versions, keeping the cinematic feel intact.
"Papers" is a highlight from the project, using the wavering synth sounds and 808 cowbells that Sledgren brought us way back on Kush & OJ, while Curren$y's performance is understated, perhaps not to distract from what's happening on screen, but naturally, he's always in-pocket.
Quotable Lyrics:
That's your Bimmer on my wrist
Homie, and that ain't it
Think it's just about this flossing shit
But I uplift
Papers
