The Compton mayor invited Kendrick Lamar and YG to participate in the city's annual Christmas parade.

Kendrick Lamar was the Grand Marshal of the Compton Christmas Parade today. He was given the honor by Major Aja Brown, who also invited Bompton's own YG to join the parade and spread the holiday cheer.

Lamar rode in the backseat of a slick beige lowrider next to his girlfriend, and YG was decked out in his usual all-red, perfect for the occasion. Watch a clip of K-Dot addressing the Compton crowd below.

Earlier this year, the State of California named Lamar a "Generational Icon." The CPT really is experiencing a musical renaissance right now. As for YG, don't miss his brand new single, "I Wanna Benz," featuring 50 Cent, Nipsey Hussle, and London on da Track.
