Yesterday, Trapo shared his SHE EP, and so far, the reaction has been very positive. "Cruise Control" is one of the many tracks we've had on repeat from the project -- a track built off of a more conventional boom bap beat than the housier "Chicago", but still features the swirling synths that color the majority of the project. Vocally, Trapo adopts a Wyclef-esque baritone, tinting his confident singing with a touch of textural auto-tune.
Sticking with the theme of the project, Trapo addresses a female character, detailing the complicated and contradictory feelings that emerge at the end of a relationship, and incorporating a phone conversation that brings us back to Drake's "Marvin's Room".
Quotable Lyrics:
I got clout and so much power
Yeah, my eyes is still on you
I've been watching for some hours
And I love the way you move
