The Annual Roots Picnic enlists some big names for 2016.

The Roots Picnic happens every June, and has continued to grow in profile and popularity each year. This year is no different, as we’ve got some truly impressive artists playing the 2016 iteration.

The Legendary Roots Crew has invited the likes of Usher (backed by The Roots), Future, Kehlani, Kaytranada, Swizz Beatz, Jidenna, DMX, Metro Boomin, Migos, Anderson .Paak, Willow Smith and Lil Uzi Vert (among others) to play the festival. As usual, the hip hop artists are mixed in with eclectic soul, electronic and R&B artists to reflect the organizers’ tastes. DMX is a surprise, but given his performance with G-Eazy in NYC recently, he may be gearing up for a return to the rap game.

It will again take place at the Festival Pier in Philadelphia on Saturday, June 4. Tickets go on sale this Friday, February 5, at noon on RootsPicnic.com, and with this lineup it’s hard not to see the festival selling out.

Roots Picnic performances have always been on point, including The Weekend, Snoop Dogg, A$AP Rocky, A$AP Ferg and Jhene Aiko.

This year, Questlove and company enlisted "Broad City" creators Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson to announce the lineup. In typical fashion, they are hilarious.
