Spike Lee released his controversial film "Chi-Raq" just last month, but he's already moved on to another joint -"Michael Jackson’s Journey from Motown to Off the Wall," a documentary that will accompany a reissue of Jackson's iconic 1979 album Off the Wall.
According to Pitchfork, The documentary will feature interviews from a bevy of Jackson's friends, family, musical collaborators, and admirers, including Questlove, Pharrell, The Weeknd, Kobe Bryant, Lee Daniels, Misty Copeland, Mark Ronson, John Legend, and L.A. Reid. It will also feature interviews from Jackson’s parents, Katherine and Joe.
"Michael Jackson’s Journey from Motown to Off the Wall" marks Lee's second documentary about Michael Jackson, the first being 2012's "Bad 25." It is set to debut at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival on January 24 and make its television premiere on Showtime on February 5. The doc and Off the Wall reissue will be available to purchase on February 26.
