Slim Jesus has caught his fair share of hate following the release of "Drill Time," but the Ohio rapper also been gaining some support from some of Chiraq's biggest names -- including, most recently, rising star Montana of 300, who just tweeted that a collab between him and Jesus is on the way.
Add Montana to the list of cosigns Jesus has received from A-list Chicago rappers such as Lil Bibby and Chief Keef. Detractors had accused Jesus of biting Keef's style, but Sosa just flew Jesus out to L.A. and had him scheduled to be the surprise guest at his "Bang 3 Hologram Fest." Unfortunately, the concert was shut down and Jesus never got to perform.
One rapper who isn't feeling Jesus' integration into the drill scene is 16-year-old Lil Mouse, whose media attention has slowed down in the past couple of years after he was featured on a Lil Wayne mixtape at age 13. Mouse recently dissed Jesus on "Kill Time."
So far, it seems Jesus' cosigns outweigh the vitriol he's received for attempting to make drill music as an outsider. What do y'all think?
Who's ready for the Montana x Jesus collab.
