Lil Durk's career has turned out pretty swimmingly, but it's possible that he could be an even bigger star at the moment, if he opted to rap a verse on Chief Keef's seminal 2012 drill anthem "Don't Like."
In a new interview with HNHH, Young Chop described how "Don't Like" came together. The people in the room at the time were Durk, Chop, and Keef. Keef was writing furiously to the beat Chop had just played him. Lil Reese was on his way to join them.
"Durk, I don’t know what happened, he didn’t want to get on the song or some shit like that," Chop recalled. "So Reesy walked in the door. [I sald] 'Bro, get on this,' because Reesy, that’s my homie, he listen to me on some real shit."
Indeed, "Don't Like" not only sparked Chief Keef and Young Chop's respective careers, but Lil Reese's as well. Given Durk's success, it's all good. Durk and Chop are still homies, hopefully they can still deliver on that joint mixtape they teased earlier this year.
