Following up a leak for "All I Know" at the end of January, Mathaius Young is back at it with the release of his full project, Pilot. The Indianapolis native put in double time for Pilot, truly embodying the project's title as he helmed both the beat-making and the rapping.
The mixtape's opener is the stand-out record "Look At Me (Freestyle)," a screeching record accompanied by the consant pitter-patter of drums and Mathaius' urgent flow. Despite the fact that there isn't really a proper hook, it's still enough to get stuck in your head. This song sets the tone for the project that follows-- hard-hitting drums and the incorporation of unique production elements define Mathaius' production, while atypical song structures are the go-to.
