Kid Cudi may have began his career in hip-hop, but he's always made sure to push the boundaries of the genre. Every release since his debut has found Cudder straying further away from rap, and with the release of Speedin' Bullet 2 Heaven, he's distancing himself from the "hip-hop" title entirely.
Reporting to Twitter yesterday, Cudi revealed that the iTunes version of the album was missing a digital booklet due to some "fuck head" messing up, but that wasn't his only gripe with the release.
"SBTH is ALTERNATIVE, not HIP HOP/RAP like someone FORCEFULLY labeled it. You can make the change in your settings manually. Fixin this too," he wrote. "Even though I made sure to let the world know early on the direction I was headed in, It can still be misleading seeing it labeled wrong."
Check out his tweets below. Do you agree that Cudi's new work shouldn't be categorized as hip-hop?
