Atlanta-via-Tennessee trap sanga Zach Farlow has been grinding for a minute now, and he and DJ Outta Space have just put out a 13-track mixtape, The Great Escape 2, with no features and some of the best production in Atlanta. Two of the city's most innovative beatmen, London on da Track and TM88, team up for "Truth," and Farlow comes correct with his singing flow, really showing off some heartfelt emotion.
Unlike a lot of trappers, who just mumble in auto-tune over the beat, Farlow goes all-out with his vocals, unafraid to experiment in the upper octaves. No matter how high he goes, though, he still sounds hard, boasting about a hustle that you gotta respect.
