Wiz Khalifa has earned himself another hit -- this time, in the sunglasses department. The Pittsburgh rapper released his first sunglasses line dubbed The Elevators in November 2010, issuing 500 pairs of the first edition specs that have almost entirely flown off shelves.

Eyetique, which produced the first line of shades, is planning on manufacturing a second line of the popular eyewear, which has been sold in Alaska, Canada and Hawaii. "Thirty percent of sales are international," vice president Brad Childs told Pittsburgh's D Busieness News.

The designer lenses, which retail for $225 apiece, come in both black and tortoise colors. The spitter unveiled the line in his 'Black and Yellow' video, though the company worked on several prototypes before releasing the final product. During the creative process, the company produced a one-off frame with yellow temples, which has a retail value of $10,000. With his sunglasses venture, Khalifa might be making moves on Diddy and Jay-Z, who both put their names on products and were recently proclaimed the wealthiest hip-hop artist by Forbes.
