Waka Flocka Flame has a had a busy week--celebrating his favorite holiday, 4/20, searching through stacks of resumes to hire a personal blunt-roller, and, oh, announcing his presidential candidacy for the 2016 election.
There's been little time to talk Flockaveli 2, hopefully out this summer, though Waka disclosed to MTV that he hasn't been in the studio for nine months. Ever since Flockaveli, he says, he's had a trailblazing impact on the game, first spreading the 808 trap sound, and, more recently, EDM. For Flockaveli 2, Waka isn't focused on any genre--he just wants something everyone can listen to.
In the same interview, he was asked about past beef with Gucci Mane, with whom Waka says he's "in a good place." Though, that cordiality may never extend to the business realm: "I'd just say [from a] business point of view, it'll never happen. Just because a snake's frozen right now, when it thaws out don't mean it ain't gonna bite you." He concludes: "It's under the rug, man. Fuck it. It is what it is."
