Tupac is generally heralded by any rap fan as being one of the greatest, and Eminem is no exception to the rule. Today an interesting artifact of hip-hop history has surfaced, in the form of a handwritten letter Em wrote to Tupac's mother, along with a drawing he did of Pac. The letter and drawing are on display at the Tupac Amaru Shakur Center for the Arts in Stone Mountain, GA, but recently a Reddit thread brought both pieces of Eminem's handy-work to light. Complex has since confirmed with Shady that these are 100% authentic.
In the letter, Eminem thanks Afeni Shakur profusely for all she's done for him, and for her son's music helping him when he was down and out ("before fame, before Dre," he wrote). "When I was feeling at my worst, I knew I could put that "Tupac" tape in, and suddenly, things weren't so bad," Em wrote. "He gave me the courage to stand up and say 'F**k the world!' 'This is who I am! And if you don't like, go f**k yourself!'"
He also reveals he's been drawing since the age of 10, and despite the fact that he didn't have "the right pencils" to draw Pac, the drawing still looks pretty good.
Take a look at images of both the letter and drawing above. It's unclear when exactly Eminem wrote this letter.
