As many people noticed, Drake's Houston Appreciation Weekend line-up and appearances contained a surprising lack of Houston-bred artists. The South was represented by Lil Boosie, Bun B and more, however the H-Town reps were absent, apart from Kirko Bangz. While HAW definitely brings in tourists and puts the spotlight on the city, it would have been nice to see more of the city's own talent in the line-up. Sauce Twinz, who are currently buzzing with their single "2 Legited 2 Quited," were among the local rappers who called out Drake for his lack of support.
Sauce Walka of the duo took to Instagram to share a video where he claimed Drake was using their culture, and went ahead and tagged @champagnepapi on the post. "This nigga make music with artists from everywhere BUT Houston," Sauce Walka says in the video.
It is possible that Walka is a bit sour; after the Sauce Twinz posed with Drake in the studio the other month it was presumed that Drizzy would bless their song "2 Legited 2 Quited" with one of his remixes. Obviously, that hasn't happened.
No matter what the case is, Champange Papi saw Sauce Walka's post and his reply was a couple of snoozing emojis. Baller Alert captured that response, see it below. Walka also continued to vent his frustrations with Drake in a second Instagram video, below.
