Yesterday we saw Lil Durk and Dom Kennedy's first week sales for Remember My Name and By Dom Kennedy respectively. Durk moved just over 25,000 while Dom did just under-- a lot of our commenters referenced either/or as a flop, but nonetheless they still charted on the Billboard 200. We cannot say that much for Troy Ave's debut, Major Without A Deal.
Complex obtained the Neilsen Soundscan stats for Troy's album, and it's not looking too good. The album apparently sold just thirty physical copies (so each one of Troy's friends and family members?). Most of his sales are thus thanks to digital copies, with a total of 4,373 sold.
Major Without A Deal boasted some big features from 50 Cent, Ty Dolla $ign, Jeezy, Fabolous, T.I., A$AP Ferg, Rick Ross, Cam'ron and more, but even with their support on social media, it wasn't enough to push Troy over the 5k mark. Although, he did drop his album on Friday, which gave him three days less in the cycle than most releases (which drop on Tuesday-- but as we reported earlier today, Friday will soon be the standard).
