Ciara's next album drops at the beginning of May, and while she's out promoting Jackie, the media is still thirsty to get the scoop on what happened between her and Future. The two dated for almost a year and a half and had a child, Future Jr., together. Since calling things off, Future has slipped into a codeine-induced depression (while still releasing the hottest mixtapes around), and Ciara has remained relatively quiet.
Today, the 29-year-old singer stopped by the Breakfast Club to clear things up. Though she doesn't detail their undoing, she's, ultimately, happy with how things worked out: "I don’t even think it really matters to tell you the truth, especially when the ending is as great as it is with my son. That’s what worked out—my son.”
She has no regrets on dating the ATL trap romantic: "I'm human and I went with love in that situation... At the end of the day, I roll with love and my son’s father I really believe had the greatest intentions to love me and a beautiful thing came from that."
Ciara also spoke on past "beefs" with Rihanna and Jermaine Dupri (who accused her of plagiarizing on "I Bet"). She's cool with both and doesn't have time to "sweat stuff". Looks like Cici's got the right mindset going forward, and we look forward to hearing what she's got for us on Jackie.
