After exceeding expectations for their recent kickstarter campaign, De La Soul can now finish up the work on their long awaited album And the Anonymous Nobody. Over the weekend, the Long Island trio decided to give fans an update on it and reveal some of its guest features.
Having already heard that 2 Chainz, Damon Albarn, and David Byrne were to be featured on the album, they’ve now added the likes of Usher, Estelle, Snoop Dogg, Pete Rock, & Roc Marciano to it as well. Taking to their kickstarter page, the veteran trio had this to say about the album’s delay...
“We’re working hard to get this album sounding right for your vents to receive.” “Please accept our apologies for the delay in updates. The work to complete this album has increased, but progress is still in forward motion.”
Check out more over at the group’s kickstarter page, including a video of Grammy-award winning producer Bob Power mixing some of their tracks.
