Drake will be partnering with Sotheby's to curate the music that will accompany the legendary auction house's upcoming exhibit of contemporary black art.
According to The New York Times, the exhibit will be held at Sotheby's New York headquarters from April 28 to June 12 and will feature 20 works from contemporary black American artists including Rashid Johnson, Nick Cave, Glenn Ligon, Kara Walker, Wangechi Mutu and Jean-Michel Basquiat.
The partnership is part of Sotheby's current private direct sales initiative to cater to a growing market of buyers and sellers who wish to conduct business away from the turbulence of bidding wars and public auctions. Sotheby's hopes Drake's starpower will provide a boon to their direct sales division.
Drake will not be paid, but surely there will be some nice perks in it for him.
