On Friday, Young Thug pursued a policy of de-escalation after a Lil Wayne threw shade his way. "[Wayne] is my idol. I wouldn't ever in my life swap words with him or beef with him about nothing," he said on Instagram.
Early this afternoon Thugger posted an Instagram video that walked back these kind words for Weezy. A woman narrates a succession of clips from Young Thug performances: "Big killa, young nigga, young fucking money…fuck you I kill you," she says. Her voice then fades and "Barter 6" in red font comes into focus. It is possible that this is an ill-advised name change from Carter 6 but more likely a "Bickin' Back Being Bool"-type situation.
All in all, the vid is simultaneously a passive-aggressive slight at Lil Wayne and a bold publicity stunt for Carter 6, which drops on April 17th.
