Future's rise to stardom wouldn't be possible without the help of Mike Will Made It, and vice versa. Mike Will produced many of Future's breakout hits, including Pluto's "Turn on the Lights", and he executively produced last year's Honest.
Since Honest, Future has gone on to release three excellent mixtapes: Monster, Beast Mode (with Zaytoven), and 56 Nights (with DJ Esco). On his part, Mike Will has started his own label, Ear Drummers, and coached his breakout act Rae Sremmurd through their massively successful debut album. Now, a year later, with each man at the top of his game, the formidable duo is back with a new mixtape, Ape Sh!t.
Last night, Mike Will tweeted the artwork to the upcoming mixtape, which shows three screaming gorillas, one with gold teeth (that's Future), and asked, "How would the world respond?" The art gives us a good idea of what the tape's gonna sound like--expect more "Move That Dope" than "Turn on the Lights". The mixtape is a joint collab between Mike's Ear Drummers and Future's Freebandz label.
Who's hyped for Ape Sh!t?
