Nelly was arrested Saturday morning on charges of felony possession of drugs, simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to the Chattanooga Times Free Press, Trooper Michael Loftis pulled over a coach bus carrying the "Tip Drill" rapper and five others at approximately 9:20 a.m. on Saturday because it failed to display the stickers mandated by the U.S. DOT and International Fuel Tax Association (IFTA). Trooper Loftis detected the smell of marijuana and deemed it appropriate to conduct a probable cause search of the bus.
He discovered a plastic bag containing five colored crystal-type rocks that tested positive for methamphetamine, as well as a small amount of marijuana and other drug paraphernalia. He also discovered multiple guns, including a gold-plated 50-caliber Desert Eagle pistol, a 45-caliber Tarus pistol, and a 500 magnum Smith and Wesson.
Nelly was summarily taken to Putnam County Jail. Hopefully this won't interfere with his reality show Nelly Ville.
