Just because there hasn't been much music released from the upcoming Diplomats reunion album doesn't mean that the gang isn't busy recording. In fact, Cam'ron recently spoke on the group's progress in recording their first album since the release of 2004's 'Diplomatic Immunity 2,' stating that they've already recorded eight or nine tracks for the project, currently without a label home.

'It's a few people that's been getting at us, but the money's not really where we want it to be,' Cam'ron told MTV News about negotiations with labels. 'So we'd rather distribute it ourselves until somebody comes with the right amount of money. Jim is using the 'Salute' record as his single, so we'll build off of that. But basically, with the Diplomat thing, everybody is gonna do it, but we got obligations.'

The Diplomats, who are working with producer AraabMuzik on new material, don't currently have a release date set for the LP, and are splitting time between recording for the Dipset album and their respective solo projects. 'Jim got his album he definitely gotta turn in,' he said. '[Me and Vado] got this Gunz and Butta thing. Juelz is putting his album together. Nobody wants to stop where they already have contracts and obligations, but we working too. We got eight, nine songs done.'

The group announced 'Diplomatic Immunity 3' back in 2008, when their rift first came to light. After a few years of firing shots during interviews and severing business ties, the members reunited earlier this year after Cam'ron and Jim Jones publicly ended their feud. Dipset released its first new song, 'Salute,' under the Diplomats banner in June, with plans for the track to be the first single off of Jones' upcoming solo album 'Capo.'
