Wayne’s wasn’t the only Southen rapper to make the Top 5 this sales cycle. Gucci Mane’s The Appeal: Georgia’s Most Wanted, the follow-up to last year’s The State Vs. Radric Davis, debuted at No. 4 with 60,100.

Re-entering the Top 5 this week is Eminem. Mr. Marshall Mather’s latest LP, Recovery, landed at the No. 5 spot, up one seat from last week. The disc moved 59,500 units this go-round and after 15 weeks, Slim Shady has a total of 2,715,600 CDs sold.

Eight seats down at No. 13 is Baton Rouge, LA rapper Lil Boosie. Fans of the jailed MC picked up 30,400 copies of his new disc, Incarcerated. Also debuting on the charts is hip-hop legend Ice Cube. His I Am the West ranked at No. 22 and was purchased by 22,300 listeners.

Closing out the Top 40 is Drake’s Thank Me Later at No. 38. The Young Money star added 13,700 discs to his total tally, which now stands at 1,099,700.

Next week look for Waka Flocka Flame to debut on the charts. —Elan Mancini
