By now, it's becoming a bit redundant to mention that Dr. Dre's 'Detox' album has been over a decade in the making. So while we wait for that arbitrary 2011 release date, let's take comfort in the fact that Dre already has plans up his sleeve for another album.

By now, it's becoming a bit redundant to mention that Dr. Dre's 'Detox' album has been over a decade in the making. So while we wait for that arbitrary 2011 release date, let's take comfort in the fact that Dre already has plans up his sleeve for another album.

During his recent cover interview for the August/September issue of 'Vibe' magazine, the West Coast producer revealed his preliminary ideas for the album. "An instrumental album is something I've been wanting to do for a long time," Dre explained. "I have the ideas for it. I want to call it 'The Planets.' I don't even know if I should be saying this, but fuck it. It's just my interpretation of what each planet sounds like."

"I've been studying the planets and learning the personalities of each planet," Dre continued. "I've been doing this for about two years now, just in my spare time so to speak. I wanna do it in surround sound. It'll have to be in surround sound for Saturn to work."

In addition to brainstorming plans to take orbit with this instrumental LP, Dre has still been putting in work with other artists in the studio. Teen pop sensation Justin Bieber recently scored some face time with the super producer, during a one-on-one studio session in California.
