Kid Cudi is certainly broadening his horizons on 2015. The rapper has already locked in a couple of movie roles for the new year (one of which he's also supplying the soundtrack for), and has announced today that he'll be joining the cast of IFC improv show, Comedy Bang! Bang!
We already knew Kid Cudi would be guesting on the show tomorrow night, but it turns out he'll be co-hosting the show alongside Scott Aukerman starting July 10th on IFC. Much like Paul Shaffer on Letterman's Late Night or Questlove on Fallon, Cudi will handle both sidekick and musical duties, replacing current co-star Reggie Watts, who'll be making his way to the Late Late Show with James Corden.
“I can’t wait to start this new chapter of Comedy Bang! Bang! with Kid Cudi,” said host Scott Aukerman. “When he was on the couch, I knew he had charisma and star quality, but I thought he should move slightly camera right. Plus, my wife and I have been trying to have a kid for several years, and this is the next best thing.”
Tune in to see Cudi as a guest tomorrow night at 11 PM EST on IFC.
