Pop Smoke
Pop Smoke was a multitalented artist taken way too soon.

Pop Smoke's death remains one of the saddest hip-hop stories of the past year. The New York artist was on the precipice of something great as his sound was finally starting to resonate with mainstream fans of the genre. Of course, Pop Smoke's Brooklyn drill sound was already immensely popular with New York listeners, although at the time of his passing, Pop was starting to cultivate a large fanbase that was ready to turn him into a global superstar. Unfortunately, he was taken from us before he could see his hard work truly pay off.

There have been various comparisons to 50 Cent when it comes to Pop Smoke and recently, fans had even more reasons to make that comparison as a clip of Pop Smoke auditioning for a movie role, resurfaced online. As you can see, the artist is acting in a scene for a new movie called Boogie

Pop was eventually cast for the movie and got to work alongside the likes of Eddie Huang, before he passed. The clip of him acting depicts a young artist who is incredibly talented at whatever he puts his mind to. Fans immediately felt nostalgic watching the rapper on screen, and it was a sad reminder of the talent that was lost.
