Natalie White, the woman that was apprehended for the arson of the Atlanta Wendy’s where Rayshard Brooks was killed the day prior, has been identified by her lawyer as Brooks’ girlfriend.
The fire burned down the Wendy’s on Saturday, June 13th. The restaurant was surrounded by people protesting the killing of Rayshard Brooks.
Following a warrant for her arrest, White turned herself in. The Atlanta Police Department charged her with first-degree arson.

In the bodycam footage that captured the murder of Rayshard Brooks on June 12, he referred to Natalie as his “girlfriend”, saying that she had dropped him off at the Wendy’s.
“[White and Brooks] were close friends,” said Drew Findling, Natalie White’s attorney, confirming Brooks’ claims.
Brooks, however, was married to Tomika Miller. Findling refrained from making any further comment on Brooks and White’s relationship “out of respect to the Brooks family who had a funeral today and is grieving the loss of Rayshard Brooks.”
