Travis Scott was apparently not too thrilled when the news broke that he and Rihanna were secretly dating back in 2015.

Travis Scott was one lucky man back in 2015 while he was dating Rihanna on the down low, but when their secret romance was eventually made public, he was less than pleased about it. On an episode of Lawrence Schlossman and James Harris' podcast, Throwing Fits, the co-hosts swapped stories with journalist Jonah Weiner about celebrities who hated something they wrote about them. Lawrence, a former editor for Complex, divulged the time he "exposed" Travis Scott's then-lowkey relationship with Rihanna in 2015, which made the rapper pretty pissed.

“I broke the news about him and Rihanna, which they told me not to do,” Lawrence explained during the episode, which aired on Tuesday (May 26th). “Apparently, what [Complex editor Joe] LaPuma...told me was that it hurt Complex’s relationship with Travis. This was in 2015/2016, I wrote this. But apparently, for the next couple of years, he would complain about that."

"It’s not because he’s like, ‘Don’t tell anyone I’m smashing Rihanna,'" he continued. "It’s because Rihanna’s like, ‘Don’t tell anyone that I’m smashing Travis Scott, please.' [It’s] obviously embarrassing as f*ck." Lawrence broke the news about Travis and Rihanna's romance in the rapper's cover story for the December 2015/January 2016 issue of Complex. He'd conducted an interview with Travis, during which they'd discussed “all the controversy, criticism and rumours surrounding his every move.” At one point, they touched on his association with Rihanna, whom he referred to as his “muse.” According to Lawrence, Travis, who also called RiRi “inspiring” and “creative," had asked him not to "do [me] like that, man," but alas, he did.
