It feels like it's been like a month since Tekashi 6ix9ine and Nicki Minaj released "TROLLZ," though it has only been a little over a week. In that week, both Nicki and 6ix9ine, but mainly the latter, were sending out daily reminders to fans to stream the song in order to hit the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100. It seems more out of vengeance for 6ix9ine ever since "GOOBA" peaked at number three on the same week it debuted.
Though there has been doubts, they did it. "TROLLZ" is officially the number one single in America, though there wasn't much radio play or playlists placements helping push the track. In response to the good news, Nicki and 6ix9ine responded on social media with... uh... excitement, I guess. Nicki essentially shared a 25-second clip on Twitter of herself maniacally laughing using the newly launched voice feature. That was it. That was the tweet.
Tekashi, on the other hand, channeled the energy of a WWE wrestler in the 90s. Beating his chest with a bottle of champagne spraying to commemorate the moment, he declared, "I CAN'T BE STOPPED."
"YOU CANT BLACKBALL MEEEEEE IM TO BIG OF A STARRRRRRRRRRRR ... OH ANNDDDDDDD ALL THE FANBASES THAT TEAMED UP TO PREVENT THIS NUMBER ONE I SAW THAT TOOOOO," he wrote in the caption.
Unfortunately for the rest of us, he plans on going on a week-long rant to celebrate beating the industry, as he'd put it. To his credit, he did advise people to unfollow him.
