The next generation of consoles will be upon us soon enough, with Sony maintaining that the coveted PlayStation 5 will be arriving by year's end. And while the veil has yet to be lifted on the finer details, a recent screenshot from Playstation Magazine UK has highlighted several of the console's first games. Though not all are slated for launch, it does provide further insight into what the opening months of the PS5's cycle will look like, and should be essential information for those contemplating a day-one purchase.
Titles include A Rat's Quest, Battlefield 6, Assassin's Creed: Valhalla, Dauntless, Dragon Age 4, Dying Light II, Godfall, God's & Monsters, Madden 21, Fifa 21, NHL 21, Psyhotel, Quantum Rider, Rainbow Six Quarantine, Rainbow Six Siege, and more. You can check out the full screenshot, which details further information on each title, courtesy of Reddit right here.
While some of the more anticipated games, like Sony's flagship sequels Horizon Zero Dawn 2 and God Of War 2 are nowhere to be seen, it should be noted that those will likely be revealed on their own time, if only to capitalize on the massive hype that surrounds them. It can also be safely assumed that massive PS4 sendoff titles like The Last Of Us Part 2 and CD Project Red's Cyberpunk 2077 will get PS5 makeovers, though backward compatibility has indeed been confirmed.
In any case, the PS5 will be upon us before we know it. Are you interested in copping the console on day one, and if so, which of the first games has captured your attention?
