Henry Cejudo recently defended the Bantamweight title against Dominick Cruz.

Henry Cejudo has been considered to be one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the UFC over the last few years and he has been absolutely dominant in the lower weight classes. He has won matches in every division he has tried and fans are always excited to see what he will be able to do next, even if he is a bit of a cringe master in his pre-fight staredowns.

Most recently, Cejudo defeated Dominick Cruz to defend the Bantamweight title in what was a fairly contentious fight. Following the match, there were rumblings that Cejudo would retire from the UFC entirely and now, those rumors have been confirmed. According to Ariel Helwani of ESPN, Cejudo's name has been taken off of various UFC lists and the Bantamweight title has been declared vacant. Simply put, Cejudo's retirement is all but confirmed.

This information shouldn't be all that surprising for UFC fans although that doesn't stop it from being a big deal. As one of the best pound for pound fighters in the world Cejudo was in high demand and now, the UFC will have to go out and seek a brand new Bantamweight champion.
