Chicago rapper Tray Savage, who was signed to Chief Keef's Glo Gang label, was tragically shot and killed on Friday, June 19th. He was 26 years old.
TMZ reports that Tray was fatally shot on the South Side of Chicago at around 11:00am while he was driving on Evans Avenue in the Chatham neighborhood. According to a report by CBS Chicago, he was dropping off his girlfriend when he was shot in the neck and shoulder by an unknown culprit. He subsequently crashed into three parked cars after getting hit, and was rushed to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
Witnesses reported that they saw a white SUV in the neighbourhood around the time of the shooting. Area Two detectives are investigating the incident, but police have no suspects as of yet.
Tray was considered one of the core members of Chief Keef's Glo Gang label. He is well-known for his feature on Keef's 2013 track, "Chiefin Keef" alongside Tadoe. Prior to his death, Tray dropped his most recent project, MGHS, in 2019.
