Lil Wayne will not be going live tonight on Young Money Radio, taking the day off to observe Juneteenth.

It has become an end-of-the-week tradition for Lil Wayne to gather up some of his most interesting friends -- like Drake, Mike Tyson, Lil Baby, Nicki Minaj, Eminem, Kevin Hart, and more -- for his brand-new Young Money Radio show on Apple Music. Thus far, the show has been extremely successful, marking Wayne as one of the premier artist-run shows on the platform. This week, he will not be going live though, explaining that he will be observing the Juneteenth holiday instead.

"In observance of Our national holiday Juneteenth, I’m giving #YoungMoneyRadio a pause today," wrote the legendary rapper on social media. "We’ll definitely be bakk next Friday with more action!"

Guests for this week's edition had not yet been revealed.

Lil Wayne is not the only person taking a break for Juneteenth. Many of his peers have spoken out about the holiday, including Lizzo, 2 Chainz, Waka Flocka, Jeezy, and many others.

Tunechi has been in the news recently because of his personal life, going public with his relationship with plus-size model Denise Bidot. He had previously been engaged to La'Tecia Thomas but they broke up after several months together.

While Wayne's show will be missed tonight, it's commendable that he's pulling out to allow time for remembrance on this important day.
