Atlanta rapper Gunna is expected to debut at the top spot on next week's edition of the Billboard 200 chart with his new album WUNNA. Along the way, we've learned a lot about the 26-year-old rapper and his alter-ego. After fighting off snitch allegations for the last week, Gunna is now under fire for promoting a dangerous drug on social media after he hopped on a live-stream, did a whippet, and left.
Gunna was on Instagram Live for a total of a few seconds before dipping, but people signed in and were unimpressed with the rapper's behavior. It's one thing to rap about doing drugs in your music but it's another thing to actually publicize the act of drug consumption on IG Live.
Nitrous oxide, which can be found in reusable whipped cream dispensers, has been used as a cheap way to get high but the act of inhaling it is extremely dangerous and addictive. The drug, known as whippets, was recently shown on Gunna's page as the rapper did one and logged off promptly after.
Many of his fans are urging him to quit the drug, asking him to stick to weed so he doesn't unintentionally hurt himself.
