Brett Hankison has been fired from the police force after the murder of Breonna Taylor.

Three months have passed and still, none of the officers involved in the killing of Breonna Taylor have been arrested or charged. It looks like we're finally making some progress on that though as one of the officers involved in her murder, Brett Hankison, has been fired from the police force.

Hankison was one of the three officers to fire his weapon during the deadly raid of Breonna Taylor's home on March 13.

Louisville Police Chief Robert Schroeder wrote a letter to Brett Hankison, explaining why he will no longer be employed as a policeman.

In the letter, the Police Chief claims that Hankison "displayed an extreme indifference to the value of human life when [he] wantonly and blindly fired 10 rounds into the apartment of Breonna Taylor."

He also calls Hankison out for firing through a patio door without knowing who or what was behind it.

The other two officers, Sgt. Jonathan Mattingly and Myles Cosgrove, remain on administrative leave.

The Kentucky Attorney General claimed that he is making this case a top priority and that it will be looked into "thoroughly and fairly."

While this isn't much, it's a start. Now, hopefully, he's arrested and charged with murder.

Rest in peace, Breonna Taylor.
