Danny Brown is working on a "perfect" follow up to "Old."

Danny Brown left listeners and critics alike impressed with his proper debut album Old. The album ended up capping off most 'best of' year-end lists-- but that was slightly over a year ago (Old actually dropped in October 2013). Since the album's release, he hasn't dropped much in the way of new music. In a new interview with Huffington Post, the rapper confirms he is working on a new album, without giving up too many details.

Brown tells them, "I just got to back up on this next album, and consistently prove that I'm always the most witty, the most unpredictable. I got the best stories, the illest punchlines, the hottest interviews."

He spoke on how with past projects, he really tried to branch out to show his versatility, and now that he's shown and proved, he'll be focusing on finding perfection.

"It's probably going to be a shorter release than normal because I'm trying to glance perfection with this one," he said. "With previous projects I had to branch out and show my range. But with this one, I feel like people know what I can do and what I'm capable of, so now it's just time for me to show that I can make perfect."

He ended the interview on a self-affirming high-note:  "I still don't feel like I have the respect I deserve. I'm the best rapper ever and I need to be respected." Do you agree?
