R&B singer Omarion will replace Shane Sparks as a judge on MTV's reality dance competition, America's Best Dance Crew.
Omarion will be joining former *Nsync member J.C. Chavez and rapper Lil Mama for the fifth season of the hit show, and released a statement saying that he is excited to get a chance to work with the dancers.
"I'm so excited to be a judge on MTV's America's Best Dance Crew," he said. "Dancing and performing is what I do and being a judge on a show will allow me to give creative feedback to the newest and hottest dancers on the rise."
The executive producer of the show, Randy Jackson, promises a great season, and says that Omarion will be a welcomed addition. "Omarion is a great friend and I am looking forward to him joining the America's Best Dance Crew family," commented Jackson. "Season 5 is going to be blazing hot."
Omarion recently released his third solo studio album, Ollusion, which spun the hit single I Get It In on January 12.
Choreographer Shane Sparks, who was a judge for the first four seasons, was arrested on eight counts of child molestation in December, and has remained out of the spotlight after being released on bail in the case.
America's Best Dance Crew will air on Thursdays starting next week on January 28 at 10pm ET/PT.
