During Kanye West's deposition in the case against the infamous LAX photographer, whom Kanye attempted to "assault," the rapper takes us back to 2000 to recall being racially profiled by the cops, which resulted in a felony charge.
Of course it's TMZ who got a hold of the deposition, which was filed in court by Ye's lawyer Shawn Holley. Yeezy admits to being convicted of a felony, although he maintains his innocence and says it was all because of his braids and white t-shirt. The incident went down at an OfficeMax in Illinois, where Kanye was allegedly trying to steal printers.
"I was racially profiled for having a white T-shirt and braids," the rapper said in his deposition. He said that at the time, he was already a successful producer. So why he would need to steal printers is beyond us. Although Kanye didn't share where the cops found him, he alludes that the cops doctored the evidence, stating, "I was driving a white Ford Expedition. When I saw the police report, they crossed out where it said 'Cream Ford Explorer.'"
Random story of the day. Should Kanye bring the braids back?
