Earlier this Fall, rapper KXNG CROOKED (aka Crooked I) announced on Sway In the Morning that he'd be delivering a hip-hop competition series in 2015. Titled "One Shot," the show will follow Crooked as he travels to eight cities across the United States on the hunt for up-and-coming talent. The winner of the competition will take home a grand prize of $100,000 and a record deal with SMH Records.
Since the announcement, several celebrities have signed on as judges. T.I., The Game, and DJ Khaled will join the likes of RZA, Twista, Tech N9ne, Scarface, E-40, Charlamagne Tha God, Joell Ortiz, and DJ Drama.
For months, rappers from all corners of the country have submitted their video entries to MyOneShot.TV in the hopes of getting their shot at fames. Now, contestants will travel to their city for an in-person try out KXNG CROOKED, King Tech, and Mike Smith.
The contestants will be whittled down over the course of the weekend to a final four, who will enter a recording studio with producers Jonathan Hay and Mike Smith, King Tech, and other celebrity producers to get them ready for the main event: a final four face off in front of Sway, Tech, Crook, Smith, and the weekly celebrity judge. The judges will determine who will represent each city in the season finale. The winners will gather in Las Vegas for a season finale show, where the winner will be determined.
Target cities include Charlotte, Atlanta, New York, Chicago, Miami, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Houston. Tune in for more news in the coming weeks about "One Shot." For more information, please visit http://www.myoneshot.tv.
