Ari Lennox speaks up to defend Noname from the criticism she's received following J. Cole's new song.

Last night, J. Cole released his new song "Snow On Tha Bluff." The track made an instant impact -- not only because it had been months since the last time Cole dropped.

To begin his verse, the rapper extensively speaks about one woman's efforts during the protests, criticizing the way she has been approaching the matter and disagreeing with her "queen"-like tone and mentality. People quickly put two and two together to figure out that he was addressing Noname. He confirmed as much with his tweets this morning.

"We may not agree with each other but we gotta be gentle with each other," he ended his statement on Twitter.

Ari Lennox, one of Cole's signees to Dreamville, has spoken out and it looks like she's taking the side of Noname, even subtly shading her label boss for his "queen" bar.

"Thank you QUEEN for giving af about us constantly and endlessly," wrote the Dreamville songstress on Instagram, sharing a picture of Noname. "I feel and appreciate everything you put out to the world. Almost everything you tweet moves me. I need and I am moved by so much you stand for. @nonamehiding thank you for enlightening us queen. I pray more folks will appreciate and understand!!!"

J. Cole may not agree with everything that Noname has said and done in recent weeks but he understands that she is far more educated on the topic at hand than he is. Ari Lennox surely appreciates that much.
