Eliza Reign, who recently proved that Future is in fact the father of her child following a strenuous paternity case, has spoken out about her lawsuit against the rapper after he tweeted a series of messages that appeared to be directed at her. After Future was finally confirmed to be Eliza's baby daddy earlier this month, she countersued him for libel, slander, and emotional distress against his initial defamation suit that had been mostly dismissed by the judge. In her countersuit, Eliza accused Future of hurling deaths threats at her over text and even attempting to coerce her into having an abortion.
Earlier today, Future shared a number of tweets about some lessons he's learned, warning his followers not to make the same mistakes he did and advising them to avoid "ugly girls." The remarks appeared to be in regards to his past with Eliza, whom he did admit to having a sexual relationship with despite denying her paternity claims. Shortly after his tweet spree, Eliza issued a statement on her IG story about their legal battle, even seemingly addressing him appearing to have called her "ugly."
"In all seriousness," she wrote, "as women, we must stick together and stand strong against abuse of any kind. I’m not perfect. I’m a work in progress. We all are. But we all are beautiful, even when we fall short of other people’s expectations. Beauty shown the best from the inside. Don’t let no one, man or woman, make you feel less than or that you don’t deserve everything you have and pray for."
"War is not cute," she continued. "I don’t wanna wake up to filings and lawsuits daily. Especially over an innocent child. I miss the peace that I once had. But I also have to do what I have to do to defend myself and my children. In America, we need to get over this culture of us women accepting abuse in silence. Because you are a woman or have less fame, power, and money, you should just shut up. We are stronger than we know." Future has yet to respond to her comments.
