It's no secret that the critics and fans alike had little praise for Zack Snyder's ambitious Justice League film. Yet those who understand the behind-the-scenes issues that plagued production have far more leniency for the maligned superhero extravaganza. At the time, Zack Snyder was forced to step away from his directorial duties because of a family tragedy. As such, the final product was disjointed to say the least, though rumors of a superior "Snyder Cut" quickly began circulating.

It began as an urban legend of sorts, though it gained additional credibility when several of the film's stars confirmed its validity. Ben Affleck, Gal Godot, and Jason Momoa all spoke openly about their desire for the Synder Cut to be released, and before long a full-fledged fan movement was underway. Though the whole campaign seemed, in all honesty, doomed -- it would appear that the day of reckoning has finally arrived. The Snyder Cut is coming to HBO Max.
"I want to thank HBO Max and Warner Brothers for this brave gesture of supporting artists and allowing their true visions to be realized. Also a special thank you to all of those involved in the SnyderCut movement for making this a reality,” offered Snyder. Warner Brothers Chairman Robert Greenblatt echoed the excitement, joking that he was no stranger to the fan movement, having had his inbox flooded with "#ReleaseTheSnyderCut" on a daily basis. While they have yet to provide an official release date, look for the new and hopefully improved Justice League to land at some point next year.
