Throughout his career, Ace Hood has steadily solidified himself as one of the game's mixtape deities, becoming a bonafide fan favorite in the process. And while the rapper seems to have slowed his prolific release rate in recent years, it's looking like he'll be ending the month on a high note. Taking to Instagram, the Floridian rapper came through to announce a brand new album called Mr. Hood, which is set to arrive in full on May 29th.

At this moment, Hood has yet to unveil any further details about the album, though he did drop off what might very well a potential album cover. "Looking forward, MR.HOOD project coming 5/29/20," he writes, though aside from his excitement we're somewhat in the dark on this one. In any case, it's been a minute since Hood dropped off a proper studio album, and Mr. Hood is set to be his first since 2013's Trials & Tribulations.
Of course, that's not to say he's been absent. Since his last album, Hood has absolutely flooded the market with mixtapes, including last year's Body Bag 5. It's hard to say if Hood will be looking to cover new ground on this run, but seeing as it's somewhat eponymous, perhaps Mr. Hood will shine a new light on the man, the myth, the legend that is Ace Hood. Look for the album to drop on May 29th, and sound off -- what are you hoping to hear at this point of Ace's career?
