Grevonta Davis's ex-girlfriend Dretta Smothers answered a fan who wanted to know what it was like co-parenting with the boxer following their controversial incident.

For the first time since the controversial video showing Gervonta Davis grabbing her by the collar circulated on social media, the mother of his daughter, Dretta Smothers, has commented about the situation. Grevonta Davis was caught up in a scandal earlier this year after a video was shared to social media showing him arguing with Dretta at a charity basketball game. The champion fighter can be seen grabbing her by the shirt and then in another clip, the argument continues backstage.

Gervonta Davis was met with accusations of domestic violence—allegations that he denied, saying he "never once hit her." However, the boxer was arrested and was hit with battery and domestic violence charges. Now, Dretta took to her Instagram Story to address the controversy after a fan asked her how she's been able to co-parent with Gervonta following the incident.

“Recovery is a process but it’s a WONDERFUL feeling," Dretta wrote. "Cyber Sisters it’s important to be SELFISH w/self and give yourself as much time as needed….. Putting your feelings and emotions to the side to assure your kid/kids have a healthy childhood is a 'SuperMom characteristic' and I am a SuperMom! Kids are innocent and none the less the main PRIORITY and that’s all that matters to me. Last but not least PRAYER…..<3" Check it out below.
