This past Wednesday Jazz Cartier released Marauding in Paradise, his first full-length offering since he stepped onto the scene in 2013 and his most ambitious project to date. The mixtape is entirely produced by Cartier's longtime producer Lantz.
The 22-year old grew up everywhere from New England to Kuwait before settling in Toronto. He says that Marauding In Paradise is "the sound of Downtown Toronto," as opposed to Drake's Uptown. "It is a story of built up emotions, and frustrations, through the eyes of the city’s biggest target," he says. "All the intricacies throughout this project foreshadow life and death, and I'm content with that. High risk only calls for higher reward.”
