As much as we've enjoyed the growth of hip hop music last year, we must also reflect on the sporadic moments that caught us by surprise. Peep HNHH's list of artists that flipped out, balled out, and owned the year of 2014 by going 0 to 100, real quick.

With technology at the forefront of our lives, any and everything that has happened in the world of hip hop over the course of 2014 spread through the webosphere in no time. By the end of 2013 thousands were quoting "you ain't got the answers Sway" from Kanye's infamous sit down interview on SiriusXM's Sway in the Morning, leaving a tough viral moment to outdo. But from rappers landing label deals overnight to A-list celebrities spazzing out on live TV, the possibilities were endless and completely random in 2014.

Back in June Drake delivered his hit "0 to 100/The Catch Up," and told hip hop to lay up off that chill shit. On this list you'll find those who took the Drizzy lyrics a bit too literal, as they shook up the culture and took it to 100, real quick. Click ahead to peep the top 0 to 100 moments of 2014.

August Alsina On 106 & Park

0 To 100 Moments In Hip-Hop

Of all artists, one would not expect sultry crooner August Alsina to cause any type of scene, but he did after touching BET's 106 & Park stage.

While being interviewed by hosts Shad Moss, aka Bow Wow, and Keshia Chanté, August was not very happy to be asked about his previous "beef" with artist Trey Songz. Now, we the viewers, would assume that this was just an innocent, scheduled question, but according to August, he informed the BET staff that no inquiries of any presumed Trigga feud should be asked on air.

“So you just gon’ go against the grain,” said Alsina “And go against everything I just… I just told you all not to ask me that shit when I got up in here.”

Despite a very sudden turnup from August, all ended well after an apology was aired for Keshia on a later episode.

Fredro Starr On The Breakfast Club

0 To 100 Moments In Hip-Hop

Charlamagne Tha God of The Breakfast Club is known notoriously for his nonchalant and opinionated personality both on and off air. Whether he's combating with an artist or laying out pop culture jokes, he's effortlessly funny and no one really tries to get on his bad side, except for Fredro Starr of Onyx, and randomly enough at that.

While visiting the 105.1 offices for an interview with his group brethren Sticky Fingaz, things got pretty heated when Charlamagne brought up a time when Fredro (allegedly) said a few tasteless comments about R&B songstress Brandy during their time together on set of the '90s hit show "Moesha." Not taking the comments too lightly, Fredro decided to fire back with rumors of a time when Charlamagne was attacked outside of the radio station. The whole thing didn't really make much sense, Fredro seemed to get way too hyped up about nothing important. 0 to 100. Luckily Sticky Fingaz and the rest of The Breakfast Club crew remained focused on the future rather than the past. Pure entertainment to say the least. Peep the interview below:

OG Maco's Career

0 To 100 Moments In Hip-Hop

Atlanta's OG Maco's success quickly went from 0 to 100 over the course of the summer . After an angry and frustrated night in the studio, Maco created his hit single "U Guessed It," which in turn would put him at the top of the charts and landed him a deal with the Migos' label imprint Quality Control Record without an album or even a debut mixtape offering.

After his signing, the booming 22-year-old continued a quick stream of favorable outcome after receiving a verse feature from 2 Chainz on his "U Guessed It," remix, along with the release of his follow-up, Ducko McFli-produced hit "FUCKEMx3," featuring the Migos trio. This was all followed by numerous tour stops, over 15M views on his "U Guessed It," video, and a position landing on Billboard's Emerging Artists chart. Not to mention, he's basically shed the opinion that he would be a one-hit wonder thanks to more cohesive and thought-provoking releases like Breathe, which prove he can "actually rap." And that my friends is how you win 2014.

Drake Drops His Stacks & Gives Zero Fucks

0 To 100 Moments In Hip-Hop

Drizzy dropped stacks a few months back, and wildly enough it was OUTSIDE of the club!

Back in late October Drake blessed the internet waves with three glorious new singles in honor of his 28th birthday. In order to celebrate, the OVO head honcho headed to DC to Stadium Nightclub, where footage was taken of him dropping racks on the ground before storming angrily into the club, without giving the stacks another thought. It was allegedly due to an altercation that occured with one of his labelmates.

We aren't hear for the gossip, but allegedly some beef with Tyga led to the entire brawl. All we know is that Drake himself took it to 100 really quick, and not a dollar out there could stop him.

Bobby Shmurda

0 To 100 Moments In Hip-Hop

New York's Bobby Shmurda went from Vine to the Barclay's arena stage in no time. With his hit single "Hot Nigga," continually buzzing and his Shmoney dance going viral from people of all ages, Shmurda has undoubtedly capitalized on his 0 to 100 moment.

After landing Drake's "Hood Grammy," and cultivating the mainstream music scene, the Florida-born, Brooklyn-raised rapper landed a record deal with Epic Records which prompted him to hit stages throughout the city and take over radio airwaves for majority of the summer season. Despite being currently locked down and charged with numerous counts, Shmurda's name still rings bells and anticipation is still brewing for new music from him and his GS9 crew.

iLoveMakonnen x OVO

0 To 100 Moments In Hip-Hop

Atlanta had a phenomenal year when it came to breakthrough artists in music. After working alongside the likes of Metro Boomin' and Sonny Digital, crooner-meets-rapper iLoveMakonnen grew to prominence after the release of his self-titled EP, which contained the track "Tuesday." After remix of the track from Drake, he quickly landed a deal with OVO Sound.

After being signed the ATL-native immediately went on tour as the opener to Weezy and Drizzy's co-headlining tour and landed slots on mainstream media outlets including Hot 97 and Jimmy Fallon. His unique style and charming aesthetic helped him to tread through the year on the success of his "Tuesday," track, but what really launched him to his 100 moment was his remarkable Grammy nomination!

Lil Wayne Vs. Cash Money

0 To 100 Moments In Hip-Hop

We are all still patiently waiting for Lil Wayne's delayed Tha Carter V, and the legendary rapper is just as anxious as we are. After informing fans that the anticipated LP would be released mid December, Weezy took it upon himself to blame Cash Money for several more postponements of the album.

Letting out his frustrations via Twitter, Wayne told fans in a tweet "I want off this label and nothing to do with these people." Presumably pointing fingers at Cash Money's head honcho Birdman, this isn't the first time that a Wayne album has been delayed. The tweets came as a surprise to many people, and things escalated quickly from there, after Wayne threatened a lawsuit and then followed through with it-- for an astounding $51 million. The situation between Weezy and Cash Money has yet to be remedied.

(One Of) Chris Brown's Break Up With Karrueche

0 To 100 Moments In Hip-Hop

This just wouldn't be an appropriate 0 to 100 list without the likes of Chris Breezy. Despite having a successful year with the release of his sixth studio album X, Chris Brown had a rocky road when it came to his love life.

After him and his then on-again, off-again girlfriend Karrueche Tran called it quits, the duo both took to Instagram to share their personal feelings on the situation. Sharing relationship drama on social media is never really advisable, but when it's done by celebrities things get turnt up to an entire different level. After Karrueche shared her lengthy, emotional post without naming Breezy, CB took to his account to bash Tran about not visiting him while he was incarcerated and alleged dates with Drake while in Toronto. The posting caused immediate frenzy with Chris Brown fans calling out Karrueche via Twitter and rumors spreading like wildfire that she was dating Drizzy under wraps. Things lowered from 100 after Chris took down his original posting and shared an apology for his angered slander towards the 26-year-old model/socialite.

Jay Z & Solange's Elevator Incident

0 To 100 Moments In Hip-Hop

The most epic of our 0 to 100 moments goes to music royalty, Jay-Z and Solange Knowles.

After a fun-filled night at the Met Gala in May, an infamous standoff occurred within the elevator of the Standard Hotel. Security footage seemed to capture a small conversation escalate quickly into a full out brawl as Solange threw hands and feet at her brother-in-law while Queen Bey stood back, quiet calmly. After being restrained, the trio were swiftly escorted out of the hotel without a trace.

The incident rapidly sparked rumors that questioned Solange and Beyoncé's relationship, but that was nipped in a bud as Bey shared sisterly photos via Instagram within the week of the clip surfacing. The Knowles-Carter family also released a very cordial press release that basically told the public in a nutshell that we'll never know what happens when a billion dollars is in the elevator.
