Recently a selfie of President Barack Obama's daughter, Malia Obama, went viral after she was seen rocking a Pro Era t-shirt in it. The boys in Pro Era quickly promoted it, and soon enough all the blogs picked it up. According to Pro Era, a mutual friend of theirs sent the photo of Malia to them. While it may seem innocent enough, controversy followed as the White House was reportedly investigating how exactly the photo of Malia Obama leaked (and if in fact it was actually her).
Now Joey Bada$$ has spoken directly on the infamous selfie, and revealed that he didn't even know who was pictured in it at first. As Joey tells Bloomberg TV, "It was amazing. So I was in Australia and I pretty much woke up one morning and I look at my phone and I seen a whole bunch of my friends posting this picture of this girl in a Pro Era shirt. I was like what's so special about this? I didn't even know who she was, I was like what's so special about this? As I started reading the comments and the captions, I was like ohhhh. Then I wasted no time, I reposted it myself."
Joey Bada$$ visited Bloomberg TV to promote his debut album, B4.DA.$$ which is due out on January 20th. Watch the brief interview below.
